Started as a family business in 2020, Es Puter A7 preserves the heritage of es puter while rethinking how it’s made and shared. We are exploring the opportunity to craft using modernized churning machines paired with a refined workflow, from selecting the coconut milk to hand-finishing each batch.
How we operate
The business operates across both B2C and B2B channels. Products reach individuals through workshops and retail outlets, and partner businesses like schools, cafes, and shops allow es puter to scale beyond traditional markets. This operational approach ensures every dessert retains its authentic flavor and story while making the heritage widely accessible.

During the Dutch colonial era, dairy ice cream was a luxury reserved for settlers. Indonesians responded with ingenuity, replacing milk with coconut milk and hand-churning it in wooden barrels.
Authentic Indonesian desserts are becoming harder to find outside traditional markets. Families and ‘kue basah’ lovers rise early just to savor these familiar flavors, which carry memories and traditions.
The production process could be labor-intensive, putting this heritage at risk of fading.
